What I found on this entity

$880M public broadcaster. Weekly reach below target and declining. Strong news credibility scores partially offset by falling linear TV audiences. Budget flat in real terms.

$57M wasted
$57.2M of your taxes lost as ABC misses its own audience reach targets
The ABC received $880 million of taxpayer money in 2025-26, but its own annual report shows it fell short of its key audience reach target by 6.5 percentage points — hitting just 58% weekly reach instead of the 62% goal. That shortfall means roughly $57.2 million in public funding didn't translate into the audience engagement Australians were promised. When you're spending nearly a billion dollars a year of other people's money, missing your own benchmarks by this margin demands serious explanation.
